What are the differences between the A129 Plus and the A129?Updated a year ago

Here are the differences between the A129 Plus Duo and the A129 Duo:

1. Resolution and Recording Capabilities

  • A129 Plus records in 2K QHD Front and Full HD Rear, both at 30FPS
  • A129 captures Full HD in the front and rear camera, both at 30FPS
  • If used as a single-channel front-only setup, the A129 Plus records in 2K QHD at 60FPS

2. Image Sensors

  • A129 Plus Duo is equipped with a 5MP Sony STARVIS IMX 335 image sensor in the front camera and a 2MP Sony STARVIS IMX 307 image sensor in the rear camera
  • A129 Duo is equipped with a 2MP Sony STARVIS IMX291 image sensor in both the front and rear cameras

3. Chipset

  • A129 Plus Duo front and rear cameras have their own chipset. While this reduces the stress on the chipset in the main front camera, it allows the front and rear cameras to record separately
  • A129 Duo chipset is in the main front camera and it controls recordings from both the front and rear cameras

4. Rear Camera

  • A129 Duo's rear camera records with a 140° viewing angle
  • A129 Plus Duo's rear camera records with at 160° viewing angle

5. Rear Camera Connecting Cable

  • A129 Duo is known for its thick rear camera connecting cable
  • A129 Plus Duo's rear camera connecting cable is thinner than previous VIOFO dual-channel models, possibly due to the fact that the A129 Plus Duo's rear camera records differently than previous models
