Unfortunately, for the new Elite 8, VIOFO has updated the rear coaxial cable to support the increased data transfer speeds required by the new 2K rear camera, so you'll need to rewire the rear camera at the very least to support your upgraded configuration.

The Elite 8 also uses the X-series power wiring, so if you're upgrading from a model that still uses the S-series power wiring, you'll need to rewire power as well.
