What is the Hybrid Parking Mode on the VIOFO A329S and A329T dash cams?Updated 42 minutes ago

Hybrid Parking Mode is a new, advanced parking mode feature exclusive to the VIOFO A329S and A329T dash cams. To enable it, you must be using the HK6 hardwiring kit.

Hybrid Parking Mode takes advantage of the HK6's voltage detection capabilities and effectively combines any of the dash cam's three basic parking modes—Auto Event Detection, Low Bitrate, and Time-lapse—with its new Low Power Impact Detection parking mode, allowing it to last longer in parking mode before it fully shuts down.

Once you have hardwired your dash cam using the HK6 and configured the hard low-voltage cutoff (at which the dash cam fully powers down) on the hardwiring kit itself, you will need to configure a soft low-voltage cutoff on the dash cam itself at which it switches into Low Power Impact Detection mode. This must be a higher threshold than the physical cutoff (e.g. hard12.2V, soft 12.4V). Once this is done, you can select your desired Hybrid Parking Mode.

If you have a Parking Recording Timer enabled, your dash cam will now switch into Low Power Impact Detection mode instead of fully shutting down once the set time has elapsed.
