My BlackVue dash cam's GPS is not working. How do I fix it?Updated a day ago
- First, upgrade your dash cam's firmware to the latest version.
- Note that GPS may take 10~15 minutes to lock on after you start driving.
- Depending on the vehicle and the location of the BlackVue device, its GPS signal can be blocked due to strong radio interference from other electronic devices in the car, cloudy/rainy weather or mountains, tunnels, tall buildings on both sides of the road, etc. Please check if the GPS works by removing the unit from the bracket and positioning the unit far away from the rear-view mirror. If it works, then there must be a heavy interference near the rear-view mirror. It is better to relocate the unit.
- Some high-end vehicles may have windshields that block GPS signals, but these typically have small areas where signals can still pass through. Please ensure the unit is mounted within that area.
- However, if you have used the dash cam for 1~2 days after upgrading the firmware and considering the above, and the dash cam's GPS is still not working, please contact us for further assistance.
