To get your VIOFO dash cam into card reading mode, all you need to do is connect it to your computer using the short USB cable included in the dash cam box, and plug that into your computer.

Alternatively, if you are looking into reviewing your video footage, you can also do that directly on the LCD screen on the device itself, or by plugging your MicroSD card directly into your computer as well.

If you connect to any power source with the short USB cable, your VIOFO camera will be unable to enter normal recording mode and will instead enter SD card reader mode. This may also happen with other low-voltage cables.
