How do I install a 2-channel dash cam in a pickup truck?Updated 6 days ago
You've seen us install dash cams in Sedans, Coupes, Hatchbacks, SUVs, Convertibles...and now, we have a Dash Cam installation in a Pickup Truck.
What if I have a large object in or on my bed that blocks the rear window?
If you have a cargo box, canopy, truck camper, or any other large object that blocks your rear window, you may want to consider a system with an external rear camera instead, like the Thinkware Q200 and Exterior Infrared Camera. These cameras can be mounted in locations such as on the rear bumper, allowing you to place large items in or on the bed without compromising rear camera protection.
What if my rear window fully opens?
Whether you have a Toyota or Hummer with a rear window that rolls down into the cab, or a GM truck with a midgate that requires the rear window to collapse, the rear camera can be magnet mounted to the headliner or a suitable surface near the top of the opening. Please refer to our Magnet Mounting Guide to learn more.
