How does the voltage monitor work in my BlackVue dash cam?Updated a year ago

The voltage monitor in a BlackVue dash cam analyzes your vehicle’s battery voltage level. When you hardwire your dash cam to your car’s fuse box, the dash cam constantly monitors the voltage coming from your vehicle.

Using the BlackVue App, you can choose a voltage cutoff value so that your dash cam will shut itself down to prevent draining your battery. The voltage cutoff values are 11.8V, 12V, and 12.5V. This feature works on the DR590X, DR750X, DR900X, and the new DR770X and DR970X.

Earlier models will require the Power Magic Pro(PMP) to provide voltage cutoff for them.
