How do I access / configure the dash cam's settings / firmware settings?Updated 5 days ago
Using BlackVue Viewer:
- Unplug the dash cam's power cable and take out its microSD card.
- Insert the card into the microSD card reader and connect it to a computer. Make sure that your computer recognizes the SD card.
- Run the BlackVue Viewer program. If you do not have this, you can download it here.
- In BlackVue Viewer, click on the gear icon to access the settings panel.
- Configure your desired settings and don't forget to click "Save & Close" before exiting.
Using BlackVue App:
Only if your dash cam has built-in Wi-Fi.
- Open the BlackVue app. Under your dash cam, select More > Connect Dashcam Locally (Wi-Fi)
- Once connected, click on the gear icon in the top right and go to Camera Settings
- Configure your desired settings and don't forget to tap "Save" before exiting.
Over the Cloud
Only Cloud-enabled dash cams have the feature of accessing the recordings and dashcam/firmware settings remotely. Make sure that the dash cam and the smartphone are connected to the internet.
- Log in to the BlackVue app.
- Under your dash cam, select More > Camera Settings > Firmware Settings
- Configure your desired settings and don't forget to tap "Save" before exiting.
Fleeta users: You can also configure the dash cam/firmware settings over the Cloud using the Fleeta web viewer.
