My Android phone keeps disconnecting from my S-Drive after the March 2026 Android Auto update! Is there a fix for this?Updated 6 hours ago
If you are experiencing Android Auto disconnection issues after the March 2026 Android Auto update, please perform the following steps:
- Exit Android Auto on your S-Drive
- Switch your S-Drive into Android Cast mode
- On your phone, open the Google Play Store and search for EveLink, or click here if you are reading this on your phone
- Download, install, and launch EveLink
- In the EveLink app, go to Settings —> App Version
- Tap Software Update and wait for the process to complete
- Once the update is complete, go to Cast —> Add —> WiFi Direct
- You should see something like: "Failed to obtain nearby device permission". Tap to fix/apply it
- Allow all permissions when prompted (Nearby Devices, Location, WiFi, etc.)
- Let EveLink search for devices until your S-Drive's WiFi appears
- Tap on your S-Drive's WiFi to connect to it
- If successful, you should see: "Android [version] Auto Connect issue Fixed". Tap OK
- Switch your S-Drive back into Android Auto mode
- On your phone, turn Bluetooth off, then back on, and reconnect to your S-Drive
- Launch Android Auto again on your phone if it does not automatically launch
If this does not work on the first try, please forget your S-Drive in EveLink and try again.
