What are the touch sensors on the BlackVue DR970X/DR770X Series dash cams?Updated 6 hours ago
Previous BlackVue models used proximity sensors, which detect the presence of nearby objects without making physical contact, to trigger manual recordings and facilitate seamless pairing. However, these can be triggered unintentionally by hanging air fresheners or light rays that enter your car.
To address this, BlackVue has replaced the proximity sensor with a touch sensor. Its functionality is still the same, but physical contact is now required to trigger it, thereby preventing any potential false triggers.
If you have a Box system, the SOS button replaces the touch sensor.
