The VIOFO static sticker is a transparent film that sticks to the windshield via static electricity for the dash cam to be mounted on top of, providing a more robust and reliable alternative to a suction cup for short-term mounting. It is designed for use in rental and short-term lease vehicles. 

When using the static sticker, it also works as a barrier between the 3M adhesive tape and the glass, preventing sticky residue and marks after the dash cam is removed.
