Which among your dash cams have Sony STARVIS 2 image technology?Updated a year ago
Welcoming 2023, we have launched two new 4K dash cams namely the BlackVue DR970X series and the VIOFO A139 Pro. The latter, which is the more budget-friendly 4K UHD option is what we consider the first dash cam to sport the Sony STARVIS 2 image sensor technology.
The new Thinkware U3000 is also designed with the Sony STARVIS 2, but is categorized in the premium market. This dash cam records at 4K UHD (3840x2160) @ 30 fps or 2K QHD (2,560 x 1,440p) @ 60 fps for the front unit through the 8MP Sony STARVIS 2 IMX 678, while the rear camera captures 2K QHD (2,560 x 1,440p) @ 30fps via 5 MP Sony STARVIS IMX 335. With the new Sony STARVIS 2 technology, the U3000 has improved low-light performance and contrast, and provides high resolution and clarity, while also lowering power consumption in parking mode.
