Why does my payment keep getting rejected?Updated 16 days ago
Credit card payments could be declined for a number of reasons.
- Incorrect information - Sometimes it's as simple as re-entering all of the information and trying again. Be sure the name, number, expiration and CVV2 number are exactly as they appear on your card. It may be an invalid CVV2 number (the 3-digit code on the back of your MasterCard, Visa or Discover card, or the 4-digit number on the front of American Express cards).
- Insufficient funds
- Online Transactions - Sometimes your bank will decline online payments for precautionary reasons. Your bank may have blocked your payment since you're making an online purchase. In this case, you will need to contact your credit card issuing bank to authorize the transaction.
- Prepaid/Gift Cards - VISA and MasterCard gift cards require the user to register online before they can be used for online payments. If the gift card is not registered, any transaction processed on them will be declined.
