Unfortunately, your dash cam will actually stay in parking mode for a shorter period while in Time Lapse mode, as it uses more power. If you wish to use this parking mode, we strongly recommend a battery pack.

However, we wouldn't recommend it for Thinkware dash cams, as they don't operate the same way as BlackVue's Time Lapse parking mode. While they still have buffered recording, recording before and after the impact, they will still be at the lower framerate without audio, whereas BlackVue's implementation switches to the normal framerate with audio.
